Baleinopolis at the Golden Gate Palace

At the gates of Paris and at the edge of the Bois de Vincennes stands a palace. The palace of the Golden Gate can be visited. It houses a museum of immigration history and a tropical aquarium. The latter is currently offering an exhibition dedicated to cetaceans: Baleinopolis until 21 June 2020. Ready to take a dip in the deep end with these giants of the sea?

It's winter, Paris is shivering, outside Parisians are rushing and tourists are betting on visits in closed places to escape the cold. You too? How about a family exhibition, located right next to the Daumesnil Hotel? Direction all the palace of the Golden Gate and its aquarium!

Humpback whales, sperm whales, killer whales and dolphins are the stars of the Baleinopolis expo, from 28 September 2019 to 21 June 2020. Along the way, you will learn more about these extraordinary mammals, but also learn about the threats they face. Cetaceans are creatures of the deep, of the depths inaccessible to man. Thanks to the objects, videos, sound supports and interactive devices offered, you will travel to the gates of this exceptional world.

A little extra: the scenography, built around a central island, allows to directly adopt the point of view of cetaceans moving on the ocean floor.

And while you're there, take the opportunity to visit the tropical aquarium! Thousands of fish, corals and other animals live in the 86 ponds of the site. Are your toddlers going with you? Opt for the story-telling tour or the game trail for young people and families. Guided tours of the Baleinopolis exhibition and the aquarium are also possible.
